Elegant Audio Upgrade
This Porsche was upgraded with Focal Flax series speakers and subwoofers.
The Vision
We wanted to keep the integrity of the interior design but upgrade the audio and add better bass. We developed a plan to use the rear package tray behind the back seats as a home for a custom subwoofer enclosure.
The Process
The audio was upgraded using Focal Flax EVO PS 165 F3E 3-way component speakers in the front sound stage. We installed Illusion C3CX coaxial speakers in the rear side panels. The custom subwoofer design kept the curvature of the rear window while adding two Focal Flax Sub P 25 FSE shallow 10-inch subwoofers. The system is powered by a Mosconi One 90.8 DSP amplifier and the subwoofers are powered by a JL Audio JD500/1 amplifier. We installed a Kenwood touch screen head unit to upgrade the technology and include Apple CarPlay in the dash.
