Better Sound Quality with a Custom Touch
We upgraded the speakers with Focal Elite K2 Power and added a custom subwoofer enclosure behind the seats for better bass.
The Vision
The car lacked volume and bass with the original sound system. We wanted to upgrade the speakers with better quality and power handling. The lack of bass would need to be addressed by finding a suitable subwoofer location.
The Process
We build a custom subwoofer enclosure between the seats. The speakers were upgraded using the Focal K2 series and powered from a JL Audio VX700/5i amplifier with DSP. The head unit was upgraded to an Alpine floating touch screen with Apple CarPay and a backup camera. We also installed a front and rear BlackVue dash camera system.
The Timeline
This was a four day build followed by a JL Audio MAX tuning session.
