Upgraded tech with better sound

We upgraded the original head unit to a Sony that has wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. The speakers were needing an upgrade as well, so we looked to JL Audio for better sound in the dash and doors. An Audison Forza amplifier with DSP powers the system. 

The Vision

We needed better sound and functionality without straying far from the original look of this Boxter.

The Process

We went with the Sony head unit for its classic look in the dash and the anti-glare screen, which comes in handy on a convertible. The JL Audio C2 speakers in the dash and C3 speakers in the doors blend nicely behind the original panels. The Audison Forza DSP amplifier fits in the same location as the original amplifier.

The Timeline

This was a one and a half day project.
