They don’t make them like they used to
For safety purposes, that’s sometimes a good thing. The side mirrors on this van were absolutely useless. We needed to help the view.
The Vision
Ironically, the lack of vision in this van is what brought the project to us. The side mirrors were unable to be adjusted enough to see anything but the side of the van, leaving the entire view a blind spot. There was also no rear view mirror with the solid back doors.
The Process
We added side view cameras on both the left and ride side of the vehicle, as well as an upper rear camera for an expanded rear view. We added a dedicated monitor for each camera across the dash to give clear views of the AHD cameras from all angles.
The Timeline
We needed the van here about two days to complete this camera system.
